Bill works so hard, and we love him, but sometimes because he likes to work we do stuff without him!! Last summer in August while he was at convention we went to SLC to have a fun vacation without him, kinda! Convention was in SLC so he was with us in spirit!
The beginning of the weekend started out with a roommate reunion. Its been probably 20 years since I've seen these fabulous girls. My first year at Utah State I lived at Old Farm apartments it truely was one of the funnest years of my life. I still love these great girls. We were missing 3 others and wished they could be there, but with busy lives its hard to be able to get all of us together hopefully we can try again soon!!!
The kids stayed at my parents house for that day, we spent Friday night there then got up early Saturday and went to SLC for the night. I put the pictures in backwards so its backwards to scroll though.
Sunday morning we got up and went to the broadcast of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, we toured the conference center and went though the Visitors Centers on the temple grounds, walked up to the Beehive house and toured that. None of my kids had ever been to temple square and none of us had ever been to the conference center, it was so fun!!!

In the conference center they had these skylights that cause a rainbow on the seats, the girls thought it was so cool they wanted their pictures taken underneath them.

Ok since the pictures are backward here is Saturday. We went to the Gateway Mall, which again I had never been to. The kids had fun in the fountains, looked in everystore, the only sad part of the day, Abbie lost her wallet and it had $18 in it. :-( What a learning experience for her, a very hard one.
After Shopping we went back to the Hotel for a bit while the kids went swimming. Then came back to the Gateway and had dinner then went to the Planetarium and saw a laser show. The kids thought that was awesome!!! I took a wrong turn on the way out of the parking garage and we ended up way out in never land, it took us a while to figure out where we were to make it back into downtown. So weird!!!
Any way it was a fun little trip for me and the kids!!!
