Jesse's an Eagle Scout

Jesse's Court of Honor
Here's the Eagles nest. Very impressive that there were so many that have recieved their eagles! Jesse pinning the Mothers pin on me.
Jesse being given the eagle charge by Jimmy Williams.
Jesse giving his Mentor Pin to Mitch Freed. Mitch was Jesse's scoutmaster when he was a deacon and helped Jesse so much with the process of becoming an eagle. Mitch is also our Home Teacher and in both those capacities has been such a great influence on Jesse. He respects Mitch a lot, as do Bill and I. Mitch works hard and puts a lot of time and effort into being the scoutmaster, and we appreciate him for helping us to raise a great kid! But all of Jesse's leaders have been great and we appreciate them all!!!

Happy #10 Birthday!!!

We had an interesting weekend to mark Abbie's 10th Birthday. Her Birthday was on Labor Day this year. The Saturday evening before, Jesse came down with the flu and according to the clinic it was most probably H1N1. So needless to say the tradition of going to Wellsville for Labor Day was not complete for Jesse and I. But Abbie, Cierra and Bill all went down and had an enjoyable day. A big breakfast at Grandpa and Grandma McCammons along with a parade, not a better birthday celebration. With sickness at our house celebrating was a multi-day event. Monday was her birthday, but Tuesday is when we had her birthday dinner of pizza and cake and ice cream. She chose a Tweety Bird cake pan from grandma's house. Our original plan of a big birthday party didn't happen for her, because she decided that she wanted Miley Cyrus concert tickets for her birthday this year, so Cierra, Abbie and I will go to Salt Lake City on the 29th and attend that concert. It should be really fun!
Abbie is a special kid and we are so proud to have her in our family. Sometimes she's pretty sassy but most of the time she's pretty great. She has a generous loving heart and wants very much to be a good girl. She notices everything and she hears everything you say even if you don't think she heard. She's a great example to her sister and looks up to her big brother. She tries to be a good example to her friends. We love her very much!
This is the webkinz Chicken and pumpkin Halloween Costume Grandma Christensen gave to her. Celebrating at the Parade!!!
This is the build a pet bear that Abbie bought with the money Grandma McCammon gave her for her birthday! Abbie named her Jessie Bear!
Make a wish and have a Happy Birthday!!! We Love you Abbie!!!!
