Happy Anniversary....Wow 20 years!!!

There seems to be so many things that have made me reflect on how fast time passes lately.  The two main things are that today is our 20th Wedding Anniversary, and in July I turn 40! YIKES!!!  Two huge milestones in one year, talk about feeling old!!!  But I don't feel old, and except for the memories of living through my 20's and 30's my mind doesn't really feel that different, my body however is a completely different story!!

In the 20 years that we've been married, Bill and I have lived in 11 different places moving all of those in the first 12 years.  We've finally settled down I guess, because we've been in our house now for 8 years.  Bill and I have a great dynamic, we get along fantastically and very seldom disagree.  Our biggest disagreements have been about the kids and discipline!  Mostly my lack of it...in all aspects!!! He has lots of patience with me and I am very grateful he chose me to be his eternal companion, I love him more and more everyday!!!

I love that we can be supportive of each other in our passions!  He has never criticized my desire to try new things or when I have fallen in or out of love with a new hobby, or all the things I buy because I want to do it and it just sits in a drawer or box somewhere forgotten or lack of desire to finish it because I've found something else I have to try!  I love that he has fun with his hobby or should I say addiction to golf!  Its wonderful that it is something that him and Jesse can enjoy together, it helps him relax and he truly loves it, and hopefully soon I can take my lessons!!  Spending time together is a favorite of ours, but its also awesome that we can do stuff without each other without feeling guilty for doing so.  Marriage is such a process of learning, and giving, heartache and bliss and I've loved every day of it with you Bill!!!!  I love you!!!

I posted a few pictures from our wedding day, who let these babies get married!?!?!?!

Playdough Creations

My girls, especially the big one, have become obsessed with shows like the cake boss.  She's loves watching all the fun things they come up with and hopes someday to be able to be just like them!  Enter Playdough!!  They use rolled fondant all the time on those shows and one day she was begging me to buy her some.  I looked at her and said "no way...why don't you just use play-dough?"  Oh YEAH!!!!  That'll work!!!!  So began an afternoon of creating.  She would love to take a class.  Maybe one of these day's we'll take one together!!!

Some things have Perks!

Once in a while Bill gets offered the Melaleuca tickets for the Jazz game.  Its a long way to travel for a game, but it is fun and if nothing else is going on he usually takes them.  The tickets that he got this time are on the floor right next to the Jazz bench, I'm talking Jazz bench....next four seats belong to Melaleuca.  It's kinda fun, you get dinner upstairs before the game then at halftime they have a snack bar setup in a room for you.  If you have to go to a Jazz game you might as well go in style!!!

One of these day's the Jazz will decide what color they want their team colors to be and they'll stick with it!

This was Jesse's first time sitting in these seats.  He was thinking he was pretty awesome.  The players would high five him on their way to their seats.

Hugs, kisses, flowers and dances

Valentines is probably the only positive in the droll month of February.  It brings giant hearts, boxes of chocolates, lots of pink and yummy desserts!!!!  It also brings the Sweethearts dance at the High School which by chance here is girls choice.  So there is no excuse for a girl to be dateless for Valentines!!!
One of my new decorations for Valentines

I made the corsage for Jesse's date so I had to buy me some flowers!  I LOVE Daisies!!!

Looking pretty handsome in his Purple Shirt!!

I'm thinking Jesse looks like his dad?

Fake an Injury Day

I am the worst at taking pictures, especially if I am behind in blogging and scrapbooking!  The end of January we had spirit week at school.  The only day I took pictures was fake an injury day.  We had a bit of a fight at our house because the one and only pair of crutches was in demand that morning!  Abbie had them last year so Cierra got them this year.  Abbie decided if she couldn't have the crutches she wasn't going to participate, she ended up wearing a lab coat and said she was the doctor for all the injury's but wouldn't let me take her picture.

Tammie's new Haircut

I know a few of you know, but last year for one of our girls nights we had a fun night learning about "Dressing your Truth" its a program that was designed by Carol Tuttle, who is from Salt Lake. http://thecarolblog.com/  She has written books and now has the program available online to buy. (its spendy though, I haven't bought it yet but I want to!)  There is a gal in our ward that was trained by Carol and is a consultant that came and introduced us to the concept, and then I took her class independently.

Basically is a personality profiling, but goes further and does beauty profiling, saying that matching your hair, clothing and jewelry to your personality helps you to accept yourself and helps you to live your truth.  It also projects to others what your "truth" is and they are more accepting.  Some people think its hokey, but for me it has been very freeing.  It's amazing how much of my life I have lived trying to be what I felt others wanted me to be instead of who I am instinctually. It's weird after watching, through Carols blog, others go through the process.  They all say, "I have finally accepted who I am, I feel like I finally have permission to be me!"  Its sad to me to think women want to have permission from someone else to be who they are, bit I needed it too!  I say BRAVO!, to anyone who already knows who they are and are already living their truth!!!  For me this program makes complete sense and its nice to have a consultant in the area who will give me help when choosing things for my type.  I am a fashion dunce...I just don't get it, I have no style I just buy what's cheap, or easy and fits.  This has given me that starting point for what's right for me!  Helping me to step out of basic jeans and t-shirts to something more flattering for me!  It has been so FUN!!!!

I am a Type 1, Bright Animated woman and my beauty word is Cute!! And I can have fun with my style, because I love to have fun!  I have never been accused of being stunning or beautiful, but now I am OK with that I understand when people say "how cute" to me that it is my compliment! I have tried to be the bold striking woman, its not me, I have tried to be the beautiful soft subtle woman, I feel frumpy and fat   I am still learning, but I am moving forward and learning to love myself for who I am!

In January I finally found a haircut for me and got it done.  I get so many compliments now, it makes me feel like I must've just looked horrible before!!! LOL!!!  But I love it most days, there are day's when throwing a ponytail in, instead of doing my hair would be much nicer though!!!

The first picture is when the day I first got the cut, the second one is about a month later and ready for a cut again!!  Short hair grows way to fast!

It's so hard to take your own picture, these don't necessarily show it off, but you get the idea, right?!?!

Christmas 2010

From decorating the Christmas tree, to Christmas Eve, to Christmas Day.  It goes so slow for kids and yet so fast!!  It just seems like yesterday that Jesse was 1 month old and we were posing him in front of the Christmas tree ready for our first Christmas as a "Family" instead of a "couple".  Now as a family of 5 and possibly next Christmas could be Jesse's last with us while he's on his mission and then on with his own life.  Life goes so fast, but I still can't help myself from wishing myself to the next part of life.  Unintentionally of course, but it still happens.

The first pictures are of the kids decorating the tree.  It's such a fun family night!!

Cierra adding the Angel Moroni to the top of our tree.
Christmas Eve comes with movies and a dinner made up of finger foods and snacks.
Watching Despicable Me.   Very cute movie!
