Golf Season Nearing an end. =(
Everyone knows that in our house golf is well...more than just a hobby its a passion. (at least for the male members!) The junior golf season has ended and trophys have been awarded. Jesse managed a 96 and got 6th place, Abbie, well lets just say there were probably on 4 girls in her age group that participated. And Cierra was completely crushed that she didn't get a trophy. That's a bummer, cuz she golfed better this year than she did last year and last year she got 3rd. Oh well. I don't imagine that the girls will even golf next summer I basically had to force Abbie on the course the day it was her tounament. We'll just have to see I guess. I don't want to force anything then its no fun. So here are a few pictures of the event.

Caterpillars and Butterflies!!!
My girls have been begging to go on a quest to find caterpillars. Well finally I took them on Friday. There is a couples of patches of Milkweed near our house so off we went. We only ended up finding on, but its pretty. Hopefully the girls don't end up shaking it to death before it has a chance to form its chrysalis.
Isn't it pretty!!!!! We'll keep you updated and let you know how it turns out!

I think I can, I think I can, I knew I could!
Last Sunday I was reading the paper and came across "Free Train Rides through Idaho Falls!". Well gee who can pass up a free train ride? I certainly can't, I love trains, who doesn't!! Well I went down to the depot on Monday at 1pm, the time the paper said, just to find out that they had started giving tickets away at 10am. What???? The train rides were to be every hour from 3 to 6pm, and approximately 110 tickets per ride. Well by 10:30 they had already given out all the tickets up to 6pm!!! I don't know for sure how people knew to be there at 10 for tickets, but someone said the paper in Pocatello said 10? Well because of either mistake they gave away additional rides at 7 and 8pm. When I got my tickets (limit of 5/adult) there were 24 seats left on the 8pm train and probably 100+ people in line after me! So even after griping that they gave tickets away before anyone who read the Post Register would have gotten there, at least we did get tickets!

The ride lasted about 40 minutes, we went through Idaho Falls out just past the Airport and then came back. The girls crashed about 30 minutes into it. Oh well it was still fun!!!
So last night we showed up for our Free Ride at a quarter past 7, only to discover they were running 90 minutes late. We watched the 5 and 6 o'clock ticket holders just pull away at 7:15! Yikes!!! Well suffice it to say we didn't end up boarding the train until 9:30. It was ok though there wasn't too many people left to put on the train and almost everybody was able to sit up in the top of the train to ride. The guide that was talking to us said twilight rates are always more so we should feel lucky!

Like I said before we could only get 5 tickets and Cierra's friend Alivia went with us to pick up tickets and was so excited, I would have felt horrible if she couldn't come with us, so Bill gave up his seat for her. While we were waiting another 40 minutes for us to get on the train we went and got Sonic Milkshakes to help pass the time...ironic because we were not dressed for the weather last night, showing up in shorts, sandals, and no jackets (except Alivia, but she was in shorts still), waiting in line 5 people wrapped in a blanket freezing because the weather was cold. Oh well those kinds of things make good memories don't they?

Its a Haircut!
On Cierra's Birthday, Grandma McCammon was talking about her haircutting skills. Jesse's hair was starting to get a little scraggly so we decided to let her show us how its done on Jesse.
Do you think he likes getting his haircut?
I've never really been bold enough to cut hair. We bought these clippers when Jesse was probably 3 and I imagine they haven't been used more than 5 times. And except for bangs I don't cut hair, if you've seen how that turns out you can understand why I don't do it very often! Yikes!!!!
I just realized I don't have an after picture...he looks great though! Thanks Grandma for saving me ten bucks!

Cierra's Birthday!
Ok, OK I know its a little late, but everyone knew eventually I'd get around to it. I think July is the busiest month of the year. Some say its December, I think that is a close second, but I feel like I never have enough time in July!
Cierra's Birthday was Saturday 25th. Because earlier during the week we were at the family reunion we had cupcakes and ice cream with my family for her birthday and my mom gave her a little gift card to go and get "what she's always wanted!!" a faux build a bear or clothing for one. (you know since the real build a bear isn't anywhere near us!)
Here in Idaho Falls there's a store called Hobbytown and it has a section where you can choose your animal and build it. On Saturday Grandma and Grandpa McCammon, Aunt Heather, and Kristina, James and Rachel came for Cierra's Birthday. And guess what, I think Cierra was filling Grandma's heads with build a bear ideas, because this Grandma gave her money for one too!!! In all her life I don't think she has been so excited!!! We had gone in the morning and she picked out a black lab and named her Lady and picked out a pair of Pink silky pajama's and a cheerleader costume. Then in the afternoon went back and picked a white simba tiger which she named Duke (by the way those are the names of our neighbors black and chocolate labs). For him she got a golf outfit and had just enough to get a bikini for Lady. She has had a blast playing with them and loves them very much! Thanks to BOTH Grandmas for fulling a little girls wish!!! I think the best thing for her is that Abbie doesn't have one and she does!
For her cake she picked a kitty...now I didn't get the picture of the cake taken until after she got a hold of the candles :-[ She made a seven with them then decided to put them every where else including one in the middle of its eye!!! Dang it! but I guess its her cake...right? Earlier in the month she decided she wanted her ears pierced, thank goodness that's a great daddy daughter activity because it gives me the eebie-geebies and makes me feel bad. So she got some new earrings and a new outfit from the family. Then Grandpa and Grandma took us all out to eat at Chuck a Rama, a favorite for my kids!
Thanks to all the Grandparents for the love, support and Cierra says the Presents!!! Love ya!!!
